Sorry I haven't read all replies but when I made a claim against a national company I sent a letter before action and I even put a copy of the claim form in with it to prove I meant business and gave them 14 days to pay up.  They completely ignored it.  So I made the claim and they didn't even bother to respond or attend so I won by default.  You may find that as they are a big company it will cost them more that the £350 to defend it so won't bother

Breaking News!

Against all odds, the guitar has miraculously re-surfaced (it was updated as "on its way" this morning at around 6am) and it was delivered at lunchtime. The only problem is, the buyer does no longer want it as he bought something else in the meantime, and I'll have to arrange for a courier (definitely not EVRI) to pick it up and have it returned to my address
