Our completion funds went missing on a Friday, didn't turn up with us until the following Wednesday. Good job they weren't required for an onward purchase. We never did establish what happened. Everybody was blaming everybody else.

Around 200,000 CHAPS payments are made a day. Every so often there's a miskey and the transaction disappears into the bowels of a suspense account. Where it lays until manually reconciled and correctly assigned.
