Hi everyone,
Sorry I've been missing, I've had a bit of a break from my phone the last couple of days. We're in Yorkshire, missing out on the nice weather back home. So far it's been a bit of a wasted trip as well because the render on the front was due to be replaced but it hasn't started yet, they're waiting for the scaffolding to be erected.
Anyway we have been out and about a bit, Monday we went to Skipton and walked through the Castle woods and yesterday we went to Ilkley and then on to Keighley to go to Dunelm. I don't know what we will do today. We might have a trip to IKEA because we have decided to replace the kitchen here at last. It's very small and needs careful planning but Steve is nothing if not thorough, we'll probably get rid of the top cupboards because we don't really need them so that will cut the cost down. We probably won't do it till the New Year though because we have enough on our plates till then and are emptying the coffers at an alarming rate.
dp1 and Camelot, I hope your littlies get home soon. I don't think I said congratulations either Camelot.
Derek, that's so nice about the sunflowers. I'm glad you seem to be coming round to TT and that she and your son are being supportive.
Gers, I'm glad your trip went well and that the table cloths were appreciated.
Hugs and spoons to anyone who needs one.
Have a good day.

Morning all, I'm getting really fed up with all this rain now! So depressing.I've been missing too, just not had chance with BH, visits etc.Derek, glad you have a sunflower plan! Great to hear how much was raised for CR too. Hugs.Gers lovely to hear that the tablecloths were so appreciated.Camelot and dp1, hope the dgd's are doing well.I cooked a small chicken last night for tea, going to strip it and make some soup I think. Need warming up. I have a choice for later, ham shanks or pork fillet. I'll decide nearer the time. I think I might defrost the chest freezer as there are a few gaps now
, might need to get an order from the butcher next week but will see what there is left.

Hello all, a late one today from Mehefinland.
Finally got rid of the council computer and printer to the new clerk today. She has been in post for a while and learning the ropes, but there is an awful lot goes on behind the scenes which I have been attempting to teach her. Anyway, with all that has been happening it was time for it to go. I will miss it, the admin work for the council and being in the thick of things, but she's being paid handsomely for the job, and I volunteered after the previous chap handed in his notice and moved away.
Received a standard type letter from the Civil Service pension people with a massive form to fill in if I wish to claim against Dawn's pension. You would think they would have all this detail. They now want an original wedding cert or certified copy of same!! Spent the last few hours trying to find one. I have not got the fogiest where it may be, or for that matter her birth cert, although I do recall seeing them some months back. No doubt in a safe place!!
Got some RTC sunflowers today for me. Funnily enough I dipped out at Dawn's ceremony. They brighten the place up a bit.
Very heavy shower just now as i was putting the animals in the barn. Stupid horses just stood there in the lashing rain instead of coming in. Dripping all over the place when they did decide to come in. Grrr!
That's all for now
Hugs and spoons as always
