Morning Everyone
After monsoon rains yesterday morning it was quite a pleasant afternoon, I pottered about in the garden for half an hour. More rain due today but it's very mild, the washing can wait!
Very busy at work, the day went so quickly yesterday - hoping for another quick and busy day today.
Called at the allotment and picked a big tub full of beans, some onions and a couple of courgettes, will take them to DD later.
Hugs to those in need, have a good day. Take care. XX11 -
Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
Your allotment seems to be doing well Camelot.
It's sunny at the moment, we had some rain yesterday though.
It's hairdo day today thank heavens, I really need it.
Not much else going on, thinking of the sad and poorly people.
Take care folks.11 -
Yesterday was so blooming wet, it's simply awful.I unpacked, put things away and did a wash which is hanging on the airer upstairs. There were various admin things to do which meant that I was fairly lazy too. I went to my volunteer stint but was almost totally superfluous so listened to my audiobook instead. The morning is bright and sunny though rain is due later. I'm resisting going shopping just yet as there are bits and pieces to use up. Yesterday I enjoyed the cold Chinese takeaway from Monday evening. I also drank a lot of water as I felt dehydrated from travelling. Today is unplanned apart from needing to collect my cleaned duvet and body warmer.Take care everyone.10

Morning allNothing exciting going on here just the usual feeding the menagerie. Oh the excitement of yesterday was that the tortoise escaped from his run!! Luckily I caught him as he'd just got out and put him back and gave him some extra food to deter him from trying again. I'll go out in a minute and, hopefully, he'll still be where he's supposed to be.Expecting to be a bit warmer today and dry. I hope it dries up where you are GersHave a good day all x10

Morning
It looks really dull here at present, although the forecast is to brighten up.
Yesterday DH decided to do some painting outside as the forecast was for sun. You've guessed, he got the paint on just before there was a downpour. Will inspect the damage today.
Dont know I'm doing today. DH made sounds of going shopping as theres no ifits that float his boat. It's a bit early, I usually do it on the last day of the month. I usually go to Lids but Tosco have sent me a voucher for £9 off £60 so tempted to go there.
Have a good day everyone.
Love to all x9 -
Morning! Drizzly on and off this morning. Went to see OHs mum last night to drop off a usb stick, got invited to tea tonight, so I'll be going solo as OH has had his shifts changed to lates again this week. We had a good old chat anyway last night, there's never a shortage of subjects...Plans today are try and get a haircut and look for tiles. And I've just had a text to say our door is arriving. Got to start packing and that's another day gone.Izzy, you said stew, now I want a stew...Weather sunds grim where you are even if it is beautiful
dp1, good to hear she's gradually improving, fingers crossed for friday. mehefin, you have beans? damn...mine got eaten three times. And how lovely about the sunflowers. I was looking at a front arden near me yesterday, full of sunflowers, thought of yours. Peony, I did have a laugh at your feeling droopy [ not that bit] and deciding to ignore it [ that bit] because it just sounds so up yours to droopiness...remmie, welcome to the workd of freezer gremlins
how long does your stay tidy? Gers, have a relax after all the travelling! Chris, I did chuckle at escapologist turtes too. My auntie had one calle Hugo Tartarugo, I'm sure she only picked the name because it rhymed.. Anyway, enough waffle, take care all, stay warm and stress free...

Morning everyone it’s dry here for now not a lot happening here I’m another one that’s trying not to go to the shops I have bits and bobs to use up but I will need bread tomorrow. I put my foot down with my hubby and I’ve got a decorator coming today he’s give us a good price and I have a great big high staircase and two chimney breasts to wallpaper and it takes us weeks to do things he can’t kneel now with his new knees and he can’t climb up safely to emulsion the ceilings and the place is like a tip for weeks he’s still moaning but it’s done now and he starts today he will be here in a few minutes when he’s finished I’m going to clean my carpets and then we are all nicely sorted for dare I say it Christmas. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Signs of overnight rain here but it's now doing its best to brighten up a bit, although it seems we can expect drizzle throughout the day. What a rubbish summer this has been.
My lunch date with DF finally happened yesterday. She has still got a bit of a peffy cough after her bout of Covid but gradually getting there. Sadly her DH is still draining her with his erratic moods. He has now fallen out with some of their nearby neighbours over wheelie bins! The least thing starts him off. Anyway we had a good old natter, enjoyed our lunch and a couple of glasses of wine went down well too.
I have just made my B**ts flu jab appointment .. With the absence of a reminder I thought I had been overlooked but they are not starting them until October this time for some reason. That's the first "job" off my list and now I must get off my arris and get on with some proper jobs that have been getting much neglected.. Sadly I can't dash around at Taff Speed these days.
Have a good day folks if you can, hope the sun might be shining on the lucky ones and ((HUGS)) for all in need of them. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning everyone
Just finishing my breakfast then I have a couple of jobs to do and then will go down to mam and dads for a cuppa.
It's fine here just now but rain is forecast later...again! We then have a week of sunshine forecast, it's always the same when the schools go back. Though it does make the first few days back at nursery nice and easy.
I'm meeting a friend for cake this afternoon at our nearest cafe..it's halfway between both of us, so that will be nice...we always have a good natter.
Izzy...you mentioned the word Christmas first....I was in one of the shops in town last week and they had their cards out!
Right I have nothing vaguely interesting to say so I'll get on. Hoping little one and DD get home soon.
Have a good day everyone x9
