I need to merge 2 pdf documents into one

As title, i need to combine 2 pdf documents into one file.

I have made it work in open office, but the 2 1.2Mb files add up tp 7Mb and the reciepent wont take files over 5Mb.

Been trying for 2 days now with no success.

(Its pdf copies of a log book if that helps)

I use PDF gear that's free. https://www.pdfgear.com/
It can merge PDFs amongst other things.
EDIT you can also compress a PDF.

If you just need to stick two PDFs together, a few free options:

1. On a Mac, Preview can open the first PDF, then drag the second into the sidebar and export/save as one file.
2. 2) On Windows, if you have a recent Microsoft Print to PDF / Edge, you can sometimes print both to one PDF, though it's fiddly.
3. 3) Online tools work, but they upload your files to a server — not ideal for anything personal/financial.

I use a browser tool that merges on the device itself so the PDFs never get uploaded (privacy angle matters on bank/letters etc): pdfmergefiles.com

Whatever you pick, keep a copy of the originals until you've checked page order.
