To pay VED, Luxury Tax, Congestion Charge, parking fees, high VAT on high cost public chargers and then Pay-Per-Mile. 

Rumours heavy cars like EVs will get more charges applied like France. Remember heavy cars with massive acceleration can ofter cause more road wear & tear, just another easy reason to get more tax.
