if you intend to stay put in the house then do what ever you want. but if you may sell up in the near future then dont do it.
most peeps like the 2 rooms, and any changes will affect the selling price.
areas/regions differ, so check with local estate agents re the local preferences.

i prefer the 2 rooms.

Not planning on moving for the next few years wait till mortgage is payed off .
