Software for Laptop Drive Replacement

I'm planning to replace the drive in my laptop with an SSD, and I'd like a recommendation for free software to copy Windows 10 over to the new drive. The new drive will be a little larger, if it makes a difference.
I am aware that Window 10 will be unsupported towards the end of next year, but I want to get another year or so out of it.

I use Rescuezilla, which is open source and free, for that sort of task and it works well - it's very similar to Clonezilla, but I find it slightly easier to use. It comes with GPARTED as one of the included utilities, and that's good for partition resizing/moving.

I've used Clonezilla and am very happy with it0

Most reputable SSDs will come with free software to do the transfer included,
The one I fitted from Crucial came with "Acronis True Image for Crucial". You'll maybe need a caddy for the SSD to do the transfer unless your laptop has a second bay for the SSD to fit into.
I managed to upgrade my laptop to Win 11 despite the fact my processor "isn't supported".0 -
As stated, many come with software to do it. If not, something like Acronis.
However, personally all you do is take all of the years of garbage with it. Do a clean install (look at ninite.com to be able to mass install many common applications) and then move the data across. A clean install will be a much better way to go.1 -
Macrium was good the last time I used it. (May not be a free version now but a free trial works). And will expand to fit bigger drive).0
