I'm surprised it has not already been posted but I can find no reference to it.
Then again it has ONLY been available since Oct 2004.

OK this is genuinely a FREE 10 year UK passport (costs today £42)

Right, there is a certain condition that applies and the vast majority of people reading this WILL NOT QUALIFY.

However I'm sure you all know someone very close and dear to you, parents, grandparents, older uncles or aunts, that might well be able to get a FREE PASSPORT!

OK, the condition is that you are a British National and were BORN ON or BEFORE 2nd SEPTEMBER 1929.
So unless you are over 75 (indeed 76 on or before Sept 2nd this year) then you are looking to help someone that is.

This Free Passport has been available to those that qualify since 18th Oct 2004.

THE GOOD NEWS IS......... (assuming qualification)

... if you have applied and paid for one in the last 13 months YOU CAN ASK FOR A REFUND !!!!

Any eligible applications since 19th May 2004 can have a REFUND upon request !

There apparently was a press release at the time.... FREE PASSPORTS FOR WARTIME GENERATION

Are passports free for over 75.s or to people born 1929 as they would be 80 not 75 hope you can answer this

The date is the relevant factor, not reaching a specific age it appears, which is curious because that means my dad would be eligible, but my mum (born 1932) who was evacuated throughout the war and at an early age lost her father who worked in munitions, would not.
