Monzo Flex Payment Times

Just got the monzo flex card and I’ve been reading on it and if I’m correct if you use it within 14 days of your payment date you pay on the next payment date, well I used it yesterday and it only give me the option to pay in full on my payment date which was today and not next months, any reason for this, is it cause it’s a new account and will sort itself out next month if I did it again?.
