GCTT Shoreham Airport 3rd Fine
Vixen2025
Hi attaching 3rd fine, for commentary on chances I may be taken to court and likely payment thereafter in view of fact that I simply failed to pay for my ticket in May and wasn't aware there were cameras in the car park. No excuses! To pay? Or not to pay? I've read loads of threads on this subject and it seems unclear whether I should in fact pay, even though the company is basically corrupt? Any advice gratefully received. Thanks

Where have they used the word fine4

Sorry nothing is unclear about paying or not paying. It's perfectly clear3

OPS may well sue you in the future, they definitely sue some people, only OOS or their lawyers can issue a court claim on behalf of OPS,Vso it may happen, but nobody can give you odds, not even Paddy power
Payment is almost unheard of on a money saving site
Going forward, always assume that cameras are watching when out and about, regardless of the location

You have not received a fine.
What you have shown us is a letter from a powerless debt collector and can safely be ignored.
Do not ignore a Letter of/Before Claim or a court claim.
Come back to this forum if that happens.
Since the alleged event occurred at an airport, byelaws may apply meaning that it may be not relevant land where the vehicle keeper cannot be held liable.
If you haven't already given away the driver's identity, don't do so in the future.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Obviously ignore GCTT. Same stable as ZZPS.

So no calls, emails or letters from driver? Identity is secure.
Letters were sent to another address where a person with Alzheimer’s and Vascular Dementia resides alone. Car is now sold on.
Unsure any details really matter though, in scheme of advice already offered.
Thanks0 -
@Vixen2025 if the person with cognitive disabilities was the vehicle keeper, it might be an idea to send a rectification notice to the DPO of OPS instructing them to erase the keeper's old data and replace it with a new address for service, and telling them to instruct their agents to do the same. This should be the address of someone who can deal with future correspondence and the former keeper's behalf, perhaps someone with a LPA.
The rectification notice should be as if it is from the former keeper, not "on behalf of" and ended with the person's name followed by, vehicle keeper. Ensure that the word "erase" is used as it has a specific meaning where data processing is concerned.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

The dementia is not the former keeper, only the owner of address formerly used by former keeper 🤣 slightly confusing - as doesn't really have anything to do with dementia, except letters weren't sent onto me until 3rd warning letter. I did change the vehicle address shortly afterwards, then sold it on recently, adding to confusion.0

OK as long as you are now getting the letters, you need to check that no LBC or claim has been issued (see 2nd post of the NEWBIES thread).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
