Set in 186 acres, the 19th Century mansion Ashdown Park Hotel and Country Club is located in the heart of Ashdown Forest, and the High Weald AONB, the inspiration for A. A. Milne’s delightful Winnie The Pooh stories. 

Bygone splendour meets modern indulgence inside the property and, outdoors, guests can explore and enjoy secret gardens, wooded paths, mature trees galore and vistas that include an elegant lake with fountains, a wild pond and a considerable range of wildlife, including the deer seen regularly strolling across the extensive lawns. The hotel boasts 106 suites/bedrooms, with each room named after one of the many tree species found in the grounds or the forest.  There is an extensive range of spa and well-being experiences available, with two tennis courts, a par 3, 18-hole golf course. a superb high-tech Gym/Fitness Studio, a lovely 15m indoor pool, and six spa treatment rooms.

Ashdown Park’s grounds include 40 acres of grazing land - where wild deer roam free - plus a lake with fountains and a jetty from which to view both the forest and the grounds sloping down from the hotel’s wide, flag-stoned terrace. There’s also a secret garden, a croquet lawn, a Pavilion, plus a peaceful walled garden with herbaceous borders, complete with a grand old greenhouse, apple trees and mature shrubs.
