No I haven’t recalculated. I have to admit that it all blows my mind, but I’ll have a look thanks
That was more for FreeBear as they are quoting tracker savings on a version you cannot join on now. So don't think that is what you may get.
I'm on Dec 2023 Tracker, so the rates I pay will be a bit less than new joiners. According to the OctoTracker app, it will be 14.61p tomorrow (20.74p today) on the July 2024 Tracker.
For comparison, today is 18.57p and tomorrow, just 12.67p on the Dec 2023 Tracker. So about 2p per kWh cheaper.

And since July tracker was released approx 10% saving over the price cap svt, just incase the OP is taking in by tomorrow's headline cheap price.

Whether that's worth the risk of something happening in the world and sending prices up who know?

Which is only really a risk if you're committed to the tariff and don't want to jump ship in case it's just a blip.  But anyone can choose to switch to the Standard Variable at any time.  Octopus say it can take up to two weeks but realistically that's likely just them covering themselves in case there's a mass exodus and it's not humanly possible switch everyone at once.

I guess the other risk is if you were considering a fix, which will be withdrawn at some point and won't be a fallback option.  Tracker was never designed to be a tariff for people who want certainty, it just happened to become one for the duration of the EPG discount.  (The certainty then was you'd pay no more than the SVT with the chance of paying less - as it turned out, ended up being cheaper for the vast majority of that time.)

Edit: for a rough gauge of historical prices, try gastracker.uk, then December 2023 version, date range 'all', then add ~2-4p for electricity, depending on your region (you can check the formula differences on the Octopus Tracker FAQs page).

Or using November 2022 version, add ~5-7p.  The formula for Nov22 is no longer published on the FAQs page but I know for Eastern England it was pretty much 2p cheaper than Dec 23.

(You can do similar with gas too but I've not taken note of the differences as we don't have gas.)
