Late Tax Credit award and cost of Living payments

I was paid my 2023/2024 Tax credit award in a lump sum at the beginning of August. I'm self employed, so it was awarded once I confirmed my income. I was told that I should automatically receive the cost of living payments I am entitled to. Does anyone know if this comes at a later date, or if they could have been missed? I'm getting nowhere with the helpline - they told me to write in and ask if I could be considered for the payments - after telling me I was entitled to them! TIA

do not need to apply. If you’re eligible, you’ll be paid automatically in the same way you usually get your benefit or tax credits. This includes if you’re found to be eligible at a later date.

Thank you. I'm still not sure if this should have been paid at the same time as the tax credits or if it would usually be paid at a later date, in which case I don't need to inform HMRC that I don't have it. Just wondered anyone has been in a similar situation0

It will be paid as a separate payment to your Tax credits.1

Did you get a text message telling you to apply and you have a few days to do so. With a link?
