Morning all,
Safe travels and have a nice break Gers,
dp1, so relieved to read that little one has had her op, thinking of you all.
derek, take care of yourself.
welcome, real thing
AA, glad your dad’s tests results were ok.
Thinking of you all x
I took an antihistamine tablet last night as the bite on my leg was itching like crazy, now I feel so tired! I did get up at 6:30 as my back was hurting so I decided to sit with the heated back pad on, and this is still where I am sat…
I will get up and dressed shortly, and then I have a pile of ironing to do. I actually like ironing, as I like the warmth and the smell of ironed cotton shirts. I will visit mum this afternoon, I have to tell her about her brother which is sad.
Well, I must crack on, take care all.

Morning all,Storm Lillian has been wending her way across the region. Some pots in the garden were blown over, and next doors parasol. I was collecting branches from the cycle lane on the main road when it was quiet.Pooch & I didnt go into the wood in case some fell but she didn't mind, she's snoozing under the table nowDerek, I'm pleased to hear the funeral went well, Dawn was obviously well loved. It's good to hear you had a clearing of the air with DS and his DP too. We were all thinking of you.Dp1 so glad the LO had her op, and hope she recovers well, it's been a worrying time for you all.Safe travels Gers, and enjoy Germany.Hope you do well at your craft fais AA.Hopefully we are meant to be at the food festival to meet friends this afternoon, but there is some rail and tram disruption & they're coming from S.Manchester. The council have put the opening back to 2pm instead of this morning so the storm and worst of it should have passed.Take care all.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning All
So pleased to hear the little one's op went ahead, let's hope this is the start of her recovery. She's such a little star you should be proud of her.
Glad things went to plan yesterday Mehefin and so many could celebrate Dawn's life. Take a few days now to let things sink in, glad your DS and Partner were such a good support.
Safe travels Gers, hope you feel better.
Happy holidays Ruby, enjoy the sunshine and relaxation.
I feel I've turned a corner with this Covid, actually had a good nights sleep and my head feels a lot clearer this morning. The red line on the test thingy took a while to come up and is much fainter so I'm heading in the right direction.
Towel load in the wash, it may have to stay inside today as it's quite overcast, hoping we don't have the strong winds many are forecast.
Happy Friday, take care. XX11 -
A quick fly to say welcome @realthing. Theres loads of advice around and everyone will be happy to help.10

Good morning all
Pleased things went well with Dawn's celebration of life and good you could clear the air with DS and partner. Please take care of yourself, you are probably both physically and emotionally exhausted. Lovely profile picture of Dawn and Scooby.
DP1 good news hope little one is soon on the mend.

Morning everyone
It was pouring when I woke up this morning, it's stopped and is brightening up a bit now - still windy though.
Mehefin - I'm pleased yesterday went well for you and also that you and DS and his partner had a good chat.
All the good wishes and crossed fingers for little one mean so much, hopefully this is the start of a much better time for her and her mummy. DD sent me one photo of her still asleep after her operation then another one only a couple of hours later in which she was holding her bravery certificate and smiling.
Gers - you're so right about Frankfurt airport. DD had told me to 'just follow the signs for the station' which I did - it took me about half an hour to walk there! Hope your tummy is ok on the flight.
I'm going down to go down to mam and dads to do his banking this morning then I'm stewarding at our local cinema/theatre this afternoon for a film.
Right I'm going to get on - hope everyone has a good day x11 -
Morning all. Well that's a bit blowy outside [ understatement]...Had to re-attach some gazebo panels but I found the bag of wood clamps, the kind with spring loaded handles, so they are now holding some of the panels on. Someone on fb was giving away roof tiles and they're quite pretty so I said I'd have them and now need to pick them up after. Is there a reason I keep giving myself more jobs to do? d'oh! No builders today, so I had a grand lie in until quarter to seven [ couldn't stay asleep] so much sofa napping is on the cards. Apart from that,I hae a few things to do, and I'm spending a lot of time looking on the internet for bathroom stuff, some of that stuff is stupid expensive. We saw a toilet yesterday I liked [ flush to wall, straight down so no nooks and crannies to clean], when I priced it up, 600 quid! Found the same one online for 200...so you know which way I'm going...And I did price up panels when I finally found some sites with prices, they would be over 800 quid for the ones I don't mind [ not like, just don't mind] whereas the tiles I like...200 quid...again, you know where I'm going with those. And if the worse comes to the worst, I'll tile it myself.Mehefin, good ot hear it went well and that you and your son have come to a rapprochement finally. The circumstances around that could hae been better, but great that it's happened. How lovely for you to see how many people wanted to pay their respects too. Lovely photo. Gers, safe travels, hope you flee in front of the wind..dp1, what great news, hopefully she can forget about the lying and recover quickly..Coxy, good luck with your joggling walking, hope your weather is not too bad! camelot, good news re the stipey bits too. TA, oh dear, hope you can get your tooth sorted soon! Peony, my condolences...realthing, check out the debt free wannabe boards, lots of advice re budgeting and saving..lots here on this board though too about making the most of things and cheaper ways to do things. Allie, hope the craft fairs go well...Take care all, stay safe, avoid going outNon me fac calcitrare tuum culi10

I was awake on & off due to a westerly wind onto the back of the house where my bedroom is, with open windows. Well, they were both open until 2am when the curtain nearest me was flapping 😳 The garden furniture relocated itself to the other end of the garden, and a potted jasmine was reclining against a hydrangea rather than standing!
Mehefin, good to read yesterday was well attended, and that your son & partner have been such good support. Maybe things will improve on that front going forward?
