Any ideas what could cause a laminate floor tile to be this damp/wet?

Laminate is probably 5/6 years, it also felt wet to touch on the side. This particular reading is close to the entrance door ground floor. (Barely visible at the far left of the first photo).
worried it could come from below.. or maybe just badly placed laminate that allowed water to get in from above

I'd lift it up to see what's happening before things get worse. This is a symptom to a probably bigger problem. maybe the surface below it is uneven and collecting the rainwater under that particular tile. Or there could be a leaking pipe under there. Whichever it is, I'd get into action before it gets worse.Note:I'm FTB, not an expert, all my comments are from personal experience and not a professional advice.Mortgage debt start date = 25/10/2024 = 175k (5.44% interest rate, 20 year term)

lift the floor and find out
you'll need to replace that board now that you have damaged it anyway0 -
I had a small patch of lifted laminate in hall which proved to be a serious leak in nearby airing cupboard. No surface water seen at all, but it proved to have gone under the hallway laminate in all directions and bathroom and kitchen floor. When floor was lifted actual water was under the underlay.2025 Decluttering Campaign 463/2025 🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟

Thanks, it’s a house we are purchasing.Surveyor just noted photo but didn’t flag anything else on it.
We will be planning to replace laminate regardless but obviously would prefer to not deal with rotten floorboards and all that.
