O2 SIM only deal /retentions question

Hi

i have been on o2 for many years and find network coverage far superior to previous providers like 3/virgin etc.  however my current deal of 30gb data sim only has gone up to £19pm.  There are alternativew online for 40/50gb for 7£ pm, so doesnt make sense to stay on o2.  In fact they have a new customer offer for £8 40gb

today they best they could offer for 30gb £14 so i got my pac code which is valid for 30 days.  Wondering if they have a retentions team that will call u with better deals in the coming days, or should i just switch to a new provider tonight?

You could use the PAC to shift the number to a PAYG then get a new, much better, deal from o2 and move back to them.

Better than PAYG actually would be one of the MSE recommended monthly deals.
Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid

Thanks will try that especially if coverage on new network is bad.

But does o2 generally call u a few days after getting a pac?

I can see that deal on USwitch - https://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/compare/sim_only_deals/
Have you tried choosing that deal, and seeing if you can apply it to your existing account/sim ?
I was able to do that recently when my price rose due to the April RPI+3.9% rise.
When I bought the sim only deal via uSwitch, it asked if I was an existing O2 customer, and when I said yes, once I logged in to my O2 account, it let me apply the deal to my existing account.
