Hello.
I attempted to apply for the Rainy Day RS last night and got to the photo id and selfie part before the system stated an error.
Today, l phoned up the BS and was informed you can only apply via a PC and not a mobile.
Did anybody else try mobile only and successfully log in?

I opened the Rainy Day RS via an iPhone a few weeks ago. I can’t remember the exact process but I followed the application procedure in the Safari browser on the iPhone. I had no problem with the application.[Deleted User] said:Hello.

OK, that's interesting another person giving out incorrect information then.Digital_Payback said:

I've decided not to bother now.

I applied successfully on my phone, including sending id photos without downloading any additional apps. I'm on Android.1

I did mine on an iPad, not app needed just text.
Adding my bank for payout was a pain.1 -
I failed to apply five times, two devices, three different browsers and an app.
Gave up.3 -
It would be interesting to know the demographic data of the people that actually manage to get these accounts. I am sure I could succeed if I really wanted but I just get to the point where I just can't be bothered with all the stupidity and just give up.1

I signed up for the RS a few weeks back with no problem at all. All done on an iPhone ( in the Safari browser ) on the Progressive website. It really was simple, and I was a new client and have never had any contact with them before.Ibrahim5 said:…. I am sure I could succeed if I really wanted but I just get to the point where I just can't be bothered with all the stupidity and just give up.One very minor issue after opening the account was having my bank account confirmed. They could not do it electronically but a phone call and an emailed part copy of a bank statement sorted the problem.I found their customer service to be excellent and the phone gets answered!!Sorry you’re having so much trouble.Digital Payback

Sounds like I'm going to have to try phoning them, as their online "enquiry" system is appalling. I submitted an enquiry, asking them two specific questions, and four days later, they responded by saying they'd resolved my enquiry, without even writing a reply to either of my questions. So I immediately left another comment for them, asking them to answer my questions, and four days later, I'm still waiting for a reply. Rather disappointing.I found their customer service to be excellent and the phone gets answered!!1 -
I did mine on a tablet tethered to android phone. Done the regular saver and 2 bonds at 5.2%. The only slow bit is it takes 2 mins for text with code.1
