Best fixed rate bond £10k

Hi everyone I want to put £10k into a good interest savings account. Would a fixed rate bond be the best option?
I know I won’t have access to the money for a year if I lock it away like this but that suits me fine as I am looking to earn some interest on my savings
could anyone recommend a good account? Thanks

'Best option' is something only you can answer as we don't know your circumstances. If you definitely don't need the money for X years, then either a bond or a fixed rate savings account (also called a bond by some providers) is certainly one consideration, though as X becomes larger you have to weigh up whether a cash is the best option. You can compare the top (by rate) accounts here: https://moneyfactscompare.co.uk/savings-accounts/fixed-rate-bonds/If you're a higher rate tax payer then low coupon gilts are potentially attractive (TG25 matures in June 2025, so almost a year), as might premium bonds be - both of these can be sold early if you need access.1
