Hi everyone,
Like everyone else I wanted to pop in and send my best wishes to Derek and family.
Floss, what an awful thing to happen.
Gers have a good trip, I hope the flight isn't disrupted by the weather.
dp1, I'm still thinking of little one.

Morning all from Mehefinland
After a busy day yesterday it's now the calm before the storm (literally as well as figuratively as we forecast strong winds overnight).
Thank you all for your kind thoughts and messages of support. I know it's going to be a tough day!
I found last night that I could change my profile picture... so its one of Dawn with Mehefin (Scooby), in our field. I can't remember when it was taken, but certainly in the last 2 years.
Have collected the sunflowers from the Co-op Its only a small store and the manager kindly got them ordered in for me. Some are still a bit closed up. but hopefully should open a bit in the kitchen as it is warmer in there.
Other than that its now a waiting game until this afternoon's ceremony. Still have the horses to see to, so that will keep me occupied until DS arrives from Dorset.
Hugs and lots of spoons to the needy as always. Hope DPs little one is ok.

Morning All
Brighter this morning after a very windy night - glad I forgot to put the bins out as everyone's are all over the road, I've just nipped out with the blue bin, the other doesn't have much in it.
Deep breath Mehefin, you've a lot to cope with this afternoon. I'll be thinking of you.
Hoping to hear from dp1 with good news on the little one.
My visitors are here - we're avoiding each other as I had another positive test this morning, not sure when this is going to end! I'll go for a walk to the bottle bank in a bit just for some fresh air.
Take care. XX

Went in the shopping centre too and bought some tops from a shop that is relocating- some real bargains there. Got 2 for DH too.I might as well continue to get rid of 'stuff' in next doors bin with them being away - I have permission!Take care all, thinking of the poorly, sad or needing a hug amongst us today.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning,
Gers, have a lovely break.
Derek, thinking of you today.
dp1, thinking of little one and you and your dd
TA, oh no, on your tooth
Thinking of all, there is a lot of sadness and worries at the moment. My uncle (mum’s brother) died yesterday so I need to visit mum tomorrow to let her know. I can’t go today as DH is taking his brother to a hospital appointment. At the moment, every time I visit mum I feel like I am a harbinger of doom, so I will try and do something fun with her next week, perhaps I will find a nice jigsaw I can set up for her to do.Apart from a couple of phone calls I need to make today, I am going to have an easy day of reading and crochet.
Take care all. x

Morning everyone
Derek I hope everything goes well for you today, the sunflowers are a lovely idea. Thank you so much for thinking of little one when you have so much going on - it's very kind.
Thank you to everyone else too, but sadly no operation yet. Her consultant had gone in about 4pm and said they'd had a lot of emergencies but they were hoping they'd still get little ones done. Then a few hours later DD was told a child had been rushed in for emergency surgery, so little one would be postponed until today. Her cannula had come out again and DD said she was so distressed at having to have a new one put in, she'd had to be sedated so they could do it. I cried when DD told me what she'd been like, little one thought they had all lied to her, they'd told her that the cannula she'd had in in the morning was going to be the last one and then it wasn't. I'm hoping so much that it goes ahead today, I don't think DD can take much more.
So this morning I've got a few jobs to do, I'm trying to distract myself, but not making a very good job of it. The wind seems to have dropped so I might carry on with fence painting this afternoon - I gave up yesterday as it was too windy.
Gers - enjoy your trip to Germany
Camelot - hope you test negative soon
Coxy - enjoy your trip too
TA - that was annoying - I love Haribos having little one is a perfect excuse for having them in the house. We have no NHS dentists here either.
Floss - that was terrible
Right I'd best do something, hopefully I'll have better news later x11 -
Morning all
