hello.my hotpoint wm66 washing machine had the door lock stuck on after a wash.i tried re spinning machine which was fine but door was still locked.i removed top, wiggled interlock switch which then made a small click sound and door then opened.now the machine will not start at all, fuse ok in plug.(ran fine when door lock was stuck).is it possible to bypass the interlock( has 3 wires) just to see if this is the problem before i buy new interlock.
thanks

Does it have a pecker unit on that model?

It is connected to the motor and will not let the door open if the belt is spinning.
There are some good pics of one here- http://www.ultimatehandyman.co.uk/forum1/pecker-assembly-part-no-1601755-spring-t4695.html
If it is not that then it is probably an electrical sensor in the machine that is preventing you from opening the door.0 -
i've been on whitegoods site as kindly recomended by wendy but can't find a pecker unit for my model so perhaps not got one fitted. that is the part fitted to the belt to see if its running or not i take it?time to look on their forum i think. thanks wendy24g.0
