Hello
My fault I messed up
I transferred some money from my Halifax current account to my TSB account which is closed by mistake It was still set up as on app and selected wrong one
Does anyone know if TSB will reject payment as account does not exist? And return payment Or will I have to contact Halifax or TSB
Thanks

Yes the money should be returned automatically but I would still let halifax know so that they can follow up what's happening. Maybe they can reverse the transfer1

Will be returned. May take a few working days though.1

If you closed the TSB account by switching it to a different bank, then the money will be forwarded to the bank that you switched to. If you just closed the TSB account, rather than switching it, then the money will bounce back to the Halifax.3
