Plug in solar

Today was clearly the worst day for me - 0.226kWh generated :)
Two days ago 3.6kWh.
My plugin system is showing similar numbers. The vagaries of October!

Just to show the scale difference - the yellow spike around 9am on 5th Oct is roughly the max on 7th:

are your panels shaded at 5pm - as op dips very sharply on charts both days - or is that normal panel and light intensity behaviour st this time of year ?
its still light here until around 630 here when sunny

Yes, there is a forest in the distance so the sun hides there. On 4th of August that drop was happening at 19:15 so its now 2h earlier.
Similar in the morning, my house casts a shadow on both panels, then just one panel..

Yep, I get similar results in the evening this time of year. Sun low in the sky ( I am fairly North) and nearby house certainly casts a shadow on my lower string.
High summer generation follows a theoretical curve on clear days.

It's getting further away from peak 2026 solar (but closer to summer 2027!) and this kit with 2x540 watt panels is £419 plus delivery:
Delivery is £55 for a pallet, which is a shame, although I would hope they'd be able to put more than one system on a pallet and that if you got together with your neighbours you could split the delivery cost.

What's nice on that site, and I've seen some elsewhere, is the large 2.4m panels (2x 665Wp).
Appreciate this may be an edge case, but helping friends who's roof isn't good for PV, and suggested a two panel canopy across the front of the house covering the front door (rain canopy). But important the panels don't stop weirdly/halfway across their front main window. So I've been looking for PnP systems that are ~5m long.
At this stage, might as well wait till Feb/Mch, an keep an eye on options, especially mounting kits, but overall, great news with decent options and prices, sooner than I expected. [That 1,330Wp system works out at roughly £290 pro-rata to 800Wp. So on target pricewise for 'cheap' PnP PV.]
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 28kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

Be interesting to know how many approved kits have been registered…

Putting compliant filter on the ENA registration that was linked above, as of now currently lists 120 compliant (oops) plug-in solar - from the initial 133 inc non compliant.
Thats a pretty big list - even if some system suppliers have many variations of their systems listed.
