I find that setting the year to 2033 with correct month/day then overtyping the year easiest

I typed in my birthdate using the criteria:  Day 2 digits, Month 2 digits, Year 4 digits. 

Then I only had to re-choose the month, as it reverted to January, but it kept everything else correct.
