You dont pay!Orangelemon123 said:Thanks for the advice everyone. It’s just making me stressed, I feel like just paying it.However I’m confused how to pay, as they have only given their address on the front but I want to pay by card so I have proof. Shall I ring SIP parking and ask them?1 -
The CNBC in Northampton sent you the pack containing the paperwork
Their website publishes the email details for various tasks, including emailing the defence as a PDF attachment
KeithP pointed you to the newbies sticky thread in announcements by coupon mad, where the second post tells you all about it
Also in announcements is a sticky thread by coupon mad that is for the defence, giving templates and advice, in that thread is a full list of the email addresses too, taken from the CNBC website and published on here, plus step by step instructions too
No filling in paperwork, instant free delivery etc
If you were to want to pay something, mediation is now mandatory, at which point you could offer a sum like say £50 , so starting low and working upwards, but no higher than say £100, maximum of £135 top whack, because if you lost in court it's likely to end at £135, so your aim is lower than £135
But thats for the future
For now, do some research and get up to speed , but login to MCOL and get the AOS done first, nothing else on there, just the online Acknowledgement, showing that you received the paperwork pack, extending your defence deadline1 -
But the check list in the opening post of the template Defence thread gives that information.
And you will have read that post before even getting to write your Defence.
In other words, by the time you have written your Defence, you will have already read how to file it when complete.
You might want to show us the paragraphs that you alter in the template Defence before filing it.2 -
Why pay more than you would be ordered to if you lost? May as well defend. Very easy.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Okay guys I didn’t know that I’d have to pay less if I lost, I thought I’d have to pay more and legal fees etc I was thinking all sorts. When I received it, I panicked and emailed SIP saying I want to pay it all but don’t know how to and they’ve just sent a link to pay.I’m guessing I can’t back track from this now and defend?0

Why didn't you mention that in your opening post?Orangelemon123 said:When I received it, I panicked and emailed SIP saying I want to pay it all...2 -
I feel on this forum some people actually want to justify themselves into paying1
-
they’ve just sent a link to payNothing has changed. You could just not bother using the link and choose to defend the claim instead2

And then make an offer at Mediation stage like I said. You are entitled to defend a claim.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
