entitled to what??

we have never claim benefits since retirement.
or at least I haven't.
my wife is retiring in 2 weeks time.currently I'm getting £1141.21 a month
wife will get roughly £950 a month.
all this talk about what pensioners are missing out.
personally I don't think we're missing out but just in case seeing that we're are  getting over just 2 grand? are we entitled to anything?

It's unlikely with that level of income but just to be sure, you can use a benefits calculator, putting in your details as if your wife has reached state pension age and is receiving her pension(s).

If over State Pension age -  you can look forward to your £10 Christmas Bonus (Autumn Budget permitting) - that's for both of you !

You may be able to get some council tax benefit even with your income.  We used to get about a third of our council tax paid with an income that wasn’t much less than yours.  It’s worth applying.

Yes we are on a decent monthly income. Some one from the council did an income assessment and we were entitled to over 50% reduction,
    We were gobsmacked.
    Always worth applying,
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Our income as pensioners is £2,111 per month. Would be nice to get something from the council / gov.... but to be honest... don't need, and wouldn't get anything anyway.

If either of you finds your health is deteriorating and you need care then you can claim Attendance Allowance.  This is not means tested.

That’s really generous, it hasn’t increased since it started in 1972  :D
