we have never claim benefits since retirement.
or at least I haven't.
my wife is retiring in 2 weeks time.currently I'm getting £1141.21 a month
wife will get roughly £950 a month.
all this talk about what pensioners are missing out.
personally I don't think we're missing out but just in case seeing that we're are getting over just 2 grand? are we entitled to anything?

Are you over State Pension age ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

It's unlikely with that level of income but just to be sure, you can use a benefits calculator, putting in your details as if your wife has reached state pension age and is receiving her pension(s).

Yes we are on a decent monthly income. Some one from the council did an income assessment and we were entitled to over 50% reduction,
We were gobsmacked.
Always worth applying, make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.1 -
Our income as pensioners is £2,111 per month. Would be nice to get something from the council / gov.... but to be honest... don't need, and wouldn't get anything anyway.0
