freedom reward points

So i rang Barclaycard and they said they cannot do anything about the lost freedom reward points and that they emailed in February and March… obviously went into spam but why did they not say something on my paper statement in April, May and June when they were still showing me how many points i had…. 😡 needless to say i am cancelling the card, i am appalled at such behaviour!!
