but tries twisting the story saying the land is owned by Heathrow and managed by APCOA and that he works for Heathrow by looking after the car park......
Sorry for rambling, I just feel like this whole situation could have been handled better. We all hate APCOA on here however, at the end of the day you were in the wrong. If I had spent 5 hours 45minutes waiting in an area at Heathrow that was only charging £1 per hour 1- I would count my self lucky with that rate of charge 2 - I would have had a wander and researched the rules of engagement. As for the car park attendant, they aren't usually the brightest, but he didn't have to charge you a lower fee, and I suspect he couldn't do anything else to validate your exit, but charge one of two fees fixed by his system, his hands were tied.He may well work for Heathrow, it would state that on his pay slip so he should know, and the set up might be like some hospitals in South Bucks where the parking attendant works for the NHS, but the parking is managed by UKPC.Quite understand your frustration though.

For every hour it is £1 until the fifth hour. Then it goes £38 for the sixth. The price goes up for every hour after that. I don't know the full values for the hours after that.
After getting frustrated for how the situation was being dealt with, I came to the forum for some advise. After hearing from the members knowing that I could nothing than to pay that high amount and that I was mistaken. I just left the place after getting a job without going to the office.
I didn't want to deal with the staff again and stay there any longer that I had to.
At the end of the day, it was my mistake, lesson learnt and it won't happen again.0 -
