Curry's care & repair

Hi,
i bought a hoover fridge freezer from currys
three weeks ago and also bought their, currys, 5 yr care and repair
upfront , an extra £110. From the terms & conditions i have 45 days
from the purchase date to cancel for a full refund.
The hoover fridge freezer was delivered and is running fine and to
expectations. It has a 1 year guarantee with an option to ring Hoover
and add a further 9 yrs free parts guarantee, excluding labour costs.
Also, Curry's cost of care & repair reduces with the length of the
manufacturer guarantee, it effectively halves, £55, with a 5 year
manufacturer guarantee.
So, i guess i'm asking which is the
best option and if i chose the reduced cost, with hoover's increased
guarantee, would currys give me half a refund? I guess theres pros and
cons to both? If there is a breakdown then if i just had hoover's
guarantee it may take a while before i get the fridge freezer back. But
would their labour costs be more/less than a care & repair plan?
Currys say the product would be fixed and back to me in 7 days with
nothing to pay!
I suppose £22 per year, potentially
reduced to £11 for five years, wont break the bank although i do hear
not to get ripped off from paying for warrantys/guarantees etc? So, just
wondering what others would do! Tia!0

How likely is it to go wrong? You are protected to a certain extent by consumer law too. I would put the £110 towards replacing it eventually.

I bought a new Beko fridge freezer from AO 5 years ago, and haven't had any issues to date... personally I tend not to bother with extended guarantees.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I have never bought an extended guarantee for anything. In fact I have once walked away from a purchase in Curry's due them hassling me so much about buying one. Buying online stops this unwanted sales pressure.0
