I’m a newbie here, this may have been discussed before - anyway here goes! I bought my husband a new iPhone on Amazon, paid as usual on Mastercard (£699). I have Prime so the parcel was due to be delivered the next day. I received a code the next day which I was to show the driver when he appeared with my parcel. Man arrives, hands me the parcel and I give him the code. Off he goes. On opening the parcel there was no iPhone - just 2 x Apple cables! Horrified, I called Amazon who apologized and forwarded me a label to send the parcel back, which I did the following day, with Proof of Postage. I’ve called them four times now and still haven’t been refunded. The last call stated that the money would be refunded 30 days after they had received the return back. That deadline has passed and no sign of any refund. I’ve read about similar experiences to this before, indeed I think BBC Watchdog may have investigated a while ago, and Amazon said they were improving their security. Doesn’t look like it’s been improved to me. I’m at a loss at what to do next 😱

Pushing five weeks since returning the parcel. I was first told it would be 7 days, then 14 days and finally 30 days - which I think is unacceptable when I’ve spent £700 and received nothing for it.0

Do you still have a copy of the label, can you get the number from the label, track and confirm it arrived?
Not that it matters as the seller should refund within 14 days of the item being passed to the courier if they are paying for the return postage.
Was it definitely sold by Amazon or was it a third party?1 -
Hi, yes I copied everything and tracking showed it arrived. It was sold by Amazon not a third party. In the last hour I have had yet another telephone conversation with an Amazon rep. who assured me my refund will be in my account in the next 5 - 7 days. I’ll try and close this post now but if my money isn’t back by this time next week I’ll be back!0
