Hi i wonder if anyone can help .
I phoned Virgin holidays over a week ago for a quote on a Florida holiday in 2026 .
The agent give us a deal for September 2026 at a four star hotel for 2 £2054 which was brilliant.
My son then booked with his girlfriend and my daughter with her boyfriend all getting the same price but different agents .

We all paid our deposits.
Today we got a phone call to say their was a clinch in the computer system and we would have to pay £1700 more each couple or just a refund .
Can anyone help where we stand on this please

Where do you stand?
You either have to pay £1700 more or accept a refund. A full refund of all your deposits paid is all you are entitled to under consumer rights legislation.
It sounds like the deal at that hotel was much cheaper than you had expected. There is a saying that if something looks too good to be true it usually is.
Sorry. I hope you get another booking sorted - you have twelve months to do so.

It was the agent that give us the deal we did not find it . Plus this was three different agents give us these offers on different days0

did it seem cheap to you, I am surprised you could even book that far ahead
I believe you have 2 choices , pay the extra or take the refund.0 -
It was a glitch hence the 3 agents found the same pricing.
You're being offered a full refund.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Three different people at the same agent, or three different travel agent companies?
Assuming the former, you're entitled to a refund or to pay the extra for the holiday. It sounds like you know it was unfeasibly cheap, so it appears to be an obvious error they're entitled to correct.0
