History

With a storied lineage dating from 1067 to the 1970s, the Saltmarshe Estate was passed down through generations of a single family.

In 2012, Kate and Roland Whyte acquired the Grade-II* listed Hall, with its 17 acres of stunning parkland, and have since lovingly transformed it into an opulent hotel and sought-after wedding venue combining both traditional and contemporary charm. They now mark the third family in 900 years to own Saltmarshe Hall.
