    Thanks Coupon-mad that's great.

Hi Nellymoser, I updated my addres ages ago with the DVLA, I missed doing it when we moved two years ago (and also had a baby) - plus the aforementioned ADHD doesn't help.
I'll do the other bits though with UKPC thanks.
    How are you getting on?

Got a date for the Mediation phone call yet, where you offer nothing & say goodbye?

Hi @Coupon-mad, I received the mediation call yesterday and offered £10 as a joke - DCBL accepted so I'll just pay them it to go away. They clearly had no intention of going all of the way to a hearing and I didn't expect they'd actually accept £10 but here we are! Atleast this way I know I definitely won't have to go to a hearing and I can just forget about the whole thing.

Thanks for all the help from you guys, really appreciated.

Teehee! That is a win. I'd have paid a tenner!

    ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!

TBH this is great evidence that PCNs and court claims are generally meritless AND it kicks into touch any argument trying to justify adding fake debt recovery 'fees'.

At this rate, what with this sort of settlement at Mediation, and considering the almost 500 cases @Umkomaas has gathered evidence of that were discontinued in recent months (all of which cost the PPC a lost £35 court fee) there's a strong argument that NPCs for minor transgressions could simply be capped at a reasonable £20 discounted to £10.

Almost everyone would pay (instead of the low percentage who do now) but still the driver would not repeat the behaviour, because nobody likes paying money for no service.  Especially in these hard times.

    Court claim numbers would plummet.

    PPCs would make more money.

The likes of DCB Group would lose out but their £millions have been obscene.  They are not important. Parking roboclaim thugs and DRAs are not worth saving, due to their continued aggressive conduct, intimidation and lies.
