You can have more than one regular at a time, so 1 with Virgin, 1 with First Direct etc, some will let you have more than 1 at a time (eg loyalty accounts/Xmas accounts) in addition to standard regulars.

A lot of people on here have more than one regular at the same time

There's all sorts of savings accounts it really depends on what your wants/needs are.

I treat most regular savings accounts like an easy access tbh as can get at most of money easily & without penalty should I need to close.

Lloyds & Bank Of Scotland Regular Savings accounts you can just take money out without needing to close for example.

The only things about closing a regular saver early is you may be subject to penalties (eg lower interest rate for the time the money was in the account, so 2% for First Direct, a months loss of interest for Coventry) & also you may not be able to open the same type of account again until the regular was due to mature.
