Morning everyone
Gers after your weather warning I looked at ours - wet and windy here too from Wednesday onwards, though not as wild as you are forecast.
No news from the hospital yet, hopefully they'll see the gastro doctor today. Little one had been fast asleep yesterday afternoon, but then woke screaming that she was flying round the room! Luckily they're in their own room again. She'd pulled the cannula out again so is on to her third now.
I've had a man here to measure my kitchen floor for new vinyl - I have what the housing association put down when the house was built, its white with grey speckles and never looks clean so I want one that looks like wood. I've put up with it for 10 years now, so I decided it was getting done before winter.
I'm meeting my mam in town for lunch as dad has a carer this afternoon, then we'll have a wander round the shops.
I'd better do a couple of jobs before I go. I hope everyone has a good day x11 -
Morning everyone Mehfin what a lovely choice of music I’m a lifelong fan of all three of those I’ve been to see both rod stewart and T. rex I couldn’t leave my bedroom as a teenager without giving my Marc Bolan poster a kiss happy days . Just got back from a catch up and a coffee with my friend she’s on holiday for two weeks now I’ve got a load of washing out but it has to rain later but it should be dry by then I’ve got plenty of housework to be getting on with and the dog is to be walked later hopefully before the rain stay safe up there Gers . I can’t do anything without a list these days Taff . There’s a lot of funny people about Ruby and I’ve got to the stage where I don’t care I would of one time worried myself half to death about what I might have done to make them ignore me not anymore. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Those interested;
Waterboys " whole of the moon" to enter
Rod " You're in my heart"
T Rex "I love to boogie"and hopefully "Jeepster" on the way out. Dawn was a child of that era, and if any T Rex came on the radio the volume was cranked up.
We had tickets to see Rod in Cardiff on the day he got his gong. Dawn was undergoing chemo for breast cancer at the time, and reluctantly was not well enough to attend. Something I have regretted many times since, and particularly at the moment.
One of her besties wrote me a lovely letter recalling those days as young teenagers listening to these bands on a Dansette in her bedroom. Happier days.

Hi everyone,
I knew there would be lots of Sue's around, Steve's sister is also a Sue although she must have been early on because she's ten years older than me. I remember Laura once remarking "You don't know what it's like to be in a class with two other people with the same name" - I soon put her straight but I must admit if I'd known how popular Laura was going to be that year I'd probably have chosen another name. It was a much more short lived uplift than Susan was though which lasted from the late Forties to the early Sixties.
I must go because I have 50 minutes to whizz round the bathrooms before I have to get Esther from nursery.
dp1, I hope the consultant can help little one.
Mehefin, great choices.
Gers, I hope it doesn't get too wild there.
Have a good day.11 -
TA it's me who's Chris. I must admit I don't post but read every day. I always think my life is boring, but after a health scare with my dd I've realised that boring is what I want. I will try to post more often6

Hi all, same as remmie, read every day but very rarely post, should do really!
Mehifin I'm so sorry for your loss, glad you've sorted music though. When dad died in 2021 mum chose 2 of the songs (church but still covid times, no singing hymns) Matt Monroe and Elaine Paige, but I chose Kenny Rogers The Gambler for the end as he did love his horse racing. When mum went 6 months later it took a while as she loved so much different music bit ended up with Cream, I Feel Free, Joe Cocker Little Help From My Friends and Spencer Davis Gimme Some Lovin' - closest I could get to a New Orleans funeral in Bucks lol! Think you can guess my name....
DP1 your granddaughter is so resilient for such a little one, I hope things get better for her soon.
As for me, MS still being a literal pain but apparently no change since diagnosed years ago, starting to give up! On plus side though I'm now a step grandma of 2 as of last week, grandson now 2 and full of it and granddaughter born last week early but very much holding her own.
Sorry, turned into an essay!7 -
Surprise - my name really is Nancy. I used to take tour groups to the British Isles to trace their family trees. The other tour guide was also Nancy - but about a foot taller than me. So when I was in Northern Ireland, the hotel proprietess in Belfast started calling me Wee Nancy - and it stuck. Started over 40 years ago.
@dp1 - saying lots of prayers for your little one. Sending hugs to you too (((hugs))).5
