For the info of the regulars, the first claim using the short defence has produced a result. It was not deal with on this forum but I am posting the PoC and the claimant response for information purposes. The claimant didn’t even bother acknowledging the defence before withdrawing:

This is great!! do you have an example of the short defence or link to the relevant post. I have received the exact same PoC so would like to take the same approach

I've posted details on your thread. However, be aware, this is just the first of six claims using the defence that have been reported back on. Whilst the draft order is known to strike fear into the claimants, it is early days yet for this defence. It is up to the user to decide based on the advice as provided and with the knowledge of any possible faults or weaknesses in the defence being highlighted.ParkVigilant101 said:This is great!! do you have an example of the short defence or link to the relevant post. And be aware you will get a discontinuance from DCB Legal anyway by using the Template Defence.
The short defence isn't a defence.
I'd be much more comfortable with it, if it included words to cover the Defendant to amend their defence if the POC are re-pleaded.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
