Unpaid funds from Vinted

Help. I’m at my wits end trying to recover my unpaid funds. My bank returned the monies paid by Vinted as they don’t deal with overseas banks, this was at the beginning of June. I have sent every detail possible in reference numbers, copy of bank statement and bank letter and still they just go round in circles saying the money was paid. I must have over 50 e mails trying to sort the problem. Where do I go next?

Try emailing legal@vinted.co.uk . However they are t quick to respond and you may have a struggle on your hand with delays trying to track down the money to retrieve it.
This is not unique, the 3 rd party that Vinted use don’t seem to like some banks, mainly the newer ones that aren’t main stream high street. Out of interest which bank was it as it’s worth keeping notes on which banks are affected for anyone else reading this.
Hopefully you took the advice on all the forums and withdraw immediately you first had a tiny balance to check the system, withdrawing £2 or £3 when you first sell something is a chance to check that the bank details you gave were correct and that Vinted work with your no bank, giving you the chance to correct anything before withdrawing again.
This issue with the bank, and also the other issue of a seller giving the wrong bank details is not uncommon, and there’s on on one of the facebook forums at the moment, saved up several hundred pounds before withdrawing anything and then found they had given the wrong bank account number. It seems persistence can pay off, but there are cases of some sellers being several months down the line without getting this resolved, so be warned.
incidentally, the advice to test a bank link applies to eBay as well. For new sellers when you first set up an account, although more checks are done by eBay, it’s worth pulling the first small balance and not allowing any balance to mount up until you know everything is in place and correct.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
