Travel Insurance Refund or not?

Hi all, been a pretty dire day today. My wife, I and were preparing to go on our first foreign holiday for 15 years and our 2 children's first ever but unfortunately my daughter fainted just before take off and we were told that we wouldn't be able to fly for at least 72 hours due to regulations.

All of us had to disembark and as our trip was for 5 nights we are unable to go with the only option that Jet2 offered us which was pretty silly to pay for flights again in 3 days time and to make use of the last 2 nights of our booked accommodation.

I am now going to look to make a claim with Asda Travel Insurance (which I have seen have bad reviews unfortunately)to get a refund. We have the supreme cover which is the top cover, and looking at their terms and condition, I can't see any exclusions noted for this scenario but was hoping someone more knowledgeable would be able to let us know what our chances are.

Did your daughter get any medical advice at any point, and have you been given anything official to show you were denied boarding?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

No, it came out of the blue. Jet2 have offered something called a 'no show certificate' which mentions that we didn't go on the holiday and were denied due to medical reasons above.

Would my daughter fainting and being refused to fly be considered an illness in insurance terms.

Do you know why she fainted? Have you sought medical advice?

Certainly get the certificate offered by Jet2 and ensure they do list that boarding was denied for medical reasons.  Has your daughter had any previous fainting episodes?  Has she been seen by a doctor because of them?  If the answers to the previous 2 questions is 'Yes', was it declared when you took out the travel insurance?

Unsure, but be prepared to print all terms and coniditons in regards to cancelltions of refunds for the flight and hotel.

Probably a few questions on why did she faint - leading up to it.

My daughter doesn't have any pre existing medical conditions but I just realised that on the initial questions on the insurer screening, it said any in or outpatient appointments in the last 2 years with hospital or GP.

Does that mean any appointment or investigation over the last two years, even if negative? If so then we have not included those as thought it was only pre existing medical conditions. Are they able to void the whole policy, even if completely unrelated?

No, never happened before and no condition that would lead to it.
