Morning everyone DP1 I’m sorry to hear about the little one hopefully they will have her sorted and home soon what a worry for you all . Taff I had plantar fasciitis and tendinitis for years it’s so painful and if I walk a lot it starts up again I’m going to look into a sports massage and see if it helps . I had a lovely day yesterday I went to the next town it’s about 7 miles away one of my sons had bought me a pass for the Auckland project GERS I know you sometimes come to this area I think you would like it you need to look it up it’s at Bishop Auckland I went to the Spanish art gallery which is over four floors then the mining art gallery then on to the Faith museum which was absolutely fantastic they have done a brilliant job of restoring the walled garden at the castle I spent the best part of the day there and I’m taking the hubby back to the castle to have a walk around the park and the gardens this morning we are very lucky to have this on our doorstep I will be going a few more times before my pass is finished. Snoozer how awful for you I hope if you have to go back you can get a better appointment Camelot hope you feel better soon Nan it’s hard when your parents health starts to decline we have had it with both set’s although my dad lived to be just over a hundred on his own and in good health not many can be lucky enough to say that . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

@Izzy - that looks interesting. I lived in Newcastle for over three decades so know most of the area well though this new project may entice me to visit Bishop again. I went to Bowes Museum last year specifically to re-visit the silver swan which used to be in the foyer but is now upstairs in its own room.@Taff - I've decided to just drink it tonight and not beat myself up for self-imposed nonsense.Well, the rains came with a vengeance so my sloth levels have risen.9

Hello all, we have intermittent sun/clouds here. Mehefin you opened a big can of worms with all the talk about handbags ! I had to look for my cross body bag yesterday and found a tiny one which isn't big enough to hold my purse or phone so that's going to the cs. I still have a "going out" one and my daily one which holds my stuff but then gets filled with Mr Fix It's wallet and phone too, even though he has a couple of "man bags" of his own 🙄. I'm Kay btw and I was given that name as no one could shorten it, but sometimes when I'm asked for my first name on the phone I have to explain that it's not just my initial and I end up spelling it out so it take twice as long.
I had a lovely time with DD at the fair, she sold quite a bit and I talked to anyone and everyone, including surprisingly Dad's neighbour who was on another stall. It was in a care home setting and I wondered if they had a spare room for me with padded wallpaper when everything gets too much and I want some peace 🤣 They have come on leaps and bounds since my nan was in one, they even have their own hairdressing salon 😲
Today DGD is coming for a sleepover so I have bags of goodies ready for the film tonight. We're having a roast chicken dinner and tomorrow her fav pizza and pasta salad and as always there's chocolate cake and custard for pudding. Thank you for your thoughts on elderly parents, it does help to know that I am not alone.
Camelot oh dear, I hope the covid is very mild. Get well soon.
Snoozer I'm so sorry that you didn't have a nice experience yesterday, fingers crossed it will be much better next time.
TA are you ok or are you away in the van again ? I've missed you posting for a couple of days.
Sorry I have forgotten what has been said and by whom, must do better !
Have a good day hugs to the poorly ones.
nan xx
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11 -

Cool and breezy albeit sunny here - did all the outdoor chores earlier thinking it was going to be warmer.
Not a lot else happening though I have managed to find 48 hours without any hospital or other appts so hoping to go away in the campervan for a couple of nights tomorrow. Might just sleep!
I'm a one-handbag person too - bought an expensive leather one Scotland 6 years ago and never changed since - it'll last many more years I hope.
Hope there is good news of little one later.
Camelot - take care, it's a nasty strain if it's the one I had last month!

Good afternoon everyone
I don't post regularly but I just want to send best wishes to little one, so sorry to hear she is back in hospital. Thinking of you DP1 and your DD.
Nan - reading about your name reminds me of the time we can rented a holiday home from a lady called Kay. The telephone conversations would go - yes ok Kay, that's ok Kay. Ok Kay thank you. My husband would then say who was that you were talking to!
I'm a Margaret by the way.
Thoughts also to all the sad and poorlies.
Take care x9 -
Hello everyone
It's cloudy and windy here today, I have bedding in the machine almost finished so I'll get it out when I'm finished on here. I've still got some fence to finish painting at the back, I'll do another hour at it this afternoon.
Little one had slept all night, she's still complaining of a sore tummy and isn't hungry at all, she's on a glucose drip. The doctor they saw this morning said she'll see the gastro doctor tomorrow - she had said that whatever happened to stop her stomach working when she had meningitis might of happened again. I hope it doesn't mean she had to have an operation on her stomach again - though perhaps it would be best to just get it done if it's going to keep causing problems.
Camelot - sorry to hear you've got Covid.
right I'm going to move or I'll get nothing done x10
