Power tripped - white goods not working

My electrical sockets tripped and my dishwasher is not functioning as it should, neither is my microwave.
Dishwasher is Hotpoint LFT 228 A. Power is on and I can select any programme. It starts then No 3 flashes. There is also water in the bottom that needs removed.
Microwave is Hotpoint MWH434AX. Power is on and it turns on but no heat is produced.
Any ideas or any good forums specific that could help with this? I’d like to try to fix this myself before I have to call out an engineer.
Thanks

What caused the power outage? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1

I'd be more inclined to worry about why the "sockets tripped" (I think you mean your RFID/fuse box?) Which device were you using when it tripped, was it the dishwasher?Three flashes means what it says here, seems to suggest a water output issue (you may have to scoop out what you can and let the rest evaporate)The Microwave... Well that seems to be years old (is it a built-in one?) and a quick check on ao.com suggests a new built-in one is £150.1

My dishwasher just carries on after a power failure. On your one, does it have a drain option? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

That model dishwasher has a set of filters that are best cleaned after every use. Is that your usual procedure?0

So dishwasher started and went through a cycle for 30mins but stopped again as water gathered in the bottom. Does this suggest a clogged drain?
any ideas how best to clear it?0 -

To me it sounds as if probably the microwave that failed and that tripped the power out.(It could have been the heater in the washer that had shorted, but if it's run for 30 mins since then probably not). For the washer it sounds more like the drain has clogged or the pump failed, see the reply here about checking for blockages: https://www.justanswer.co.uk/appliance/b0jd4-i-ve-hotpoint-dishwasher-model-lft228a-wash.htmlIf it isn't a block then you may need to replace the pump.
