Restrictions on letterbox location (UK)

I have just moved home and the property has a lockable mailbox at street level, with no "in door" letterbox (which I wouldn't want to fit in existing door anyway).
For security reasons I would like to move the lockable letterbox next to the front door. I know the Postie will have another 30 yards x 2 to walk to get to the front door and back, but I don't trust leaving the box where it is and would prefer it being close to the front door.
Are there any regs. etc. that would prevent me relocating the lockable letter box? I have been searching and can't seem to find any.

Given that they walk up drives every day to deliver post through the front door, I can’t see any reason why they shouldn’t do so to deliver your post, even if it’s into a locked box instead. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
No regulations as far as I know. Look around, they can be anywhere! The only thing I would say is make it obvious, ours used to be in garage door, right in front of you as you walked down the drive, couldn't miss it. But everyone just walked past it and stood at the front door looking gormless.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.1

Does "at street level" mean there is a significant difference in level between the street and your front door - i.e. do you have flight(s) of steps to climb or something like that?

Why don't you just ask Royal Mail?0

there is no requirement to have a letterbox in a door in the UK, it is simply custom and practice, but not a legal requirement
therefore use of a separate mailbox is permitted in the UK, but please be kind to posties and don't position it at ground level so they have to bend down to use it.
(Following pressure from the unions, imposition of min (0.7m) and max (1.7m) heights of letterboxes in new doors was proposed in 2019 and again in 2023, but it never passed into law)
