APCOA wouldn't let me pay for my parking and now I'm going to get a PCN - help!

Hi - looking for advice on dealing with this situation.
I parked at a APCOA station car park a couple of days ago and I usually pay using the app as I'm usually running to my train, and for some reason that day the app was being temperamental. I didn't worry too much about it because LatePay is (supposedly) available at the station so I figured I could pay once I got to the office and had access to a reliable internet connection.
LatePay evidently doesn't work. Multiple attempts made to make the payment and everytime, nothing. No confirmation, just a nearly blank screen with the site navigation menu on it. I tried not to panic as I had 24 hrs to make the payment, so I figured I would try again when I got home - maybe it was my phone not liking the website or something.
Anyway, it doesn't work on my computer either. By this point, I'm concerned, so I message them through the live chat and send an email to an email I have contact them at before. It's after hours so I'm not expecting the live chat to be picked up until tomorrow. I explain the situation and ask if someone can help me make the payment please by sending an invoice or some bank details I can pay to. I get nothing back from the LiveChat message (no statement of how long they take to get back on this method of contact, but I assumed LiveChat meant they would come back to be when the LiveChat system opened the next day). Tried LiveChat again today to try and follow up but now told it's too late and they can't help. The advisor suggested I should have called them within 24hrs, yet there is no phone number on their website to contact, irrespective of that fact that I am at work from 8am to 7:30pm most days so would be unable to call them to make a payment (I'm not going to give them my card details over the phone in a public place!)
Any advice on how to appeal the PCN I'm inevitably going to receive - I can't exactly argue I wasn't driving when there's a paper trail of me saying I parked and need to pay and could they help me?

Dont pay1 -
You won't get a PCN.
You will get a PN and just need to read other APCOA Penalty threads. Discussed umpteen times; nothing has changed.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
