Lease Covenants & Restrictions: Not to use the Flat for any purpose whatsoever other than as a private. Does this means if my circumstances change and I can no longer live in the flat, am not allowed to rent. Thanks

"Other than as a private" doesn't make sense - what does the whole sentence say?

There may be a prohibition against renting but you will need to read the whole lease to check.

It would still be a "private residential flat" if it was occupied by a tenant.

Does it relate to not running a business from the flat? i.e. only a private residence.  We were accused of running a business from our home - not true but our solicitor advised that since the Covid provisions required "working from home" suggesting that a court would likely not agree the "no business" covenant was breached by working on a laptop from home during those restriction.  But that's just my situation and the opinion of my solicitor.

What is behind the question?
