If I read the Octopus website correctly your Audi E-tron Quattro should work with Octopus Intelligent Go by itself so it doesn't matter what charger you use.  But please check this for yourself.

Audi E-Tron 55 Black Edition SUV 5dr Electric Auto quattro 95kWh Is the EV I will be picking up in the morning.
Just downloaded Octopus usage for last 12 months and it equates to 4026.332 from 20/08/23 to 20/08/24
Based on that car and the public data you will use around 2,080 kWh a year to charge your EV.

If you were on the EV tariff that would cost you £1,103.48 per year, or if you took a current fix it would cost you £1,444.32 per year, so a £340.83 saving, or 23.5%. If you can load shift 1,000 kWh over from peak to off peak, which should be reasonably possible (background fridge will happen in that window anyway, things that always run like routers etc, as well as setting the dishwasher and washing machine to run at night if possible then you could bring your energy bill down to £936.38 on the EV tariff, less than you are paying now without using the EV.

*For simplicity I am taking about only the cost for the energy, not the standing charge, as that is the same on both tariffs.

Not forgetting that IO also gives daytime charges at off peak rate. When appliable.
Which in the last year for me only 2 out of 100 charges have been in the 11:30 to 05:30 period.
Many of which have been 6 hours, & include a lot of load shifting of household use.

Average cost per kWh a month on bill's is between 12 & 15p kWh

So It would be advisable to get off the fix and apply the Intelligent Tariff.
Appreciate the advice from everyone by the way

Update I have contacted Octopus via phone and to clear things up I can have the Intelligent Tariff and switch from the fixed penalty free. Can do this via the app when ready and go via the information required ie Car Make etc. This will automatically swicth me from Fixed to Intelligent approx 15 mins according to the agent. She did say the gas would remain on the fixed Tariff ? . May need to read up a little bit more according to all the info I have recieved on this thread prior to commiting .
