How do you 'suck' browsers to the side?

Options
So say I have firefox and chrome open. I'm wanting to read from one to enter info in to the other rather than bringing one up full size on screen & then switching to the other back and forth.

I have somehow in the past been able to stretch these out in half screen size rectangles & then when I've moved one to the left screen it sort of gets 'auto-sucked' to the left hand side and the same when I do the other to the right, so it's a half-&-half split screen if you will.

But not sure how I did it because I'm struggling to replicate it. It's just pretty handy when I need to do this so I figure someone reading this will know what I'm talking about & how to do it.

I manage it by right-clicking 'Open in sidebar'.

Drag the whole window from the top bar off the left side of the screen and do the same on the right side with the other window you want to fill the right side.

I believe that you are looking for the 'Multi-tasking' settings.
Turn it on to 'snap' to the sides of the screen, and then you can also choose the resizing options.

In W11 dragging the browser to the top of the screen gives multiple layouts....Just choose preferred one.

Using Chrome, click on the blue box in icons to the right of address bar, and choose which type of alignment you want.

Press and hold the Windows key and whilst doing that click on one of the arrow keys that correspond to the direction in which you want the browser to move.

Who knew there'd be so many ways to do this, although I'd already been trying one of them & can't get it to work.

I'll try the others out when I'm home. Thanks.

It's Windows, there are always at least 3 ways to do anything.

Found out what I was doing wrong.

When I stumbled across this I was dragging to the sides, which I didn't realise. When trying to replicate I was dragging the browser to the top and then to the side - which obviously wasn't working.

So drag to the side till it touches the side & all good.
