Gravity Hot Water Problem - SF Rayburn

We did solve the problem eventually by re-siting the injector tee. Spoke with Rayburn tech dept and eventually bought their own injector valve and sited it 600mm from the return inlet to the Rayburn boiler. This is the critical part. Any further away and it doesn't circulate the water properly. Worked immediately.
We installed a motorised valve on the oil boiler loop. That way the Rayburn isn't trying to heat the oil boiler too as the valve will only open whent he boiler fires. As we have unlimited 'free' wood, we don't use the oil at all, it is merely backup, or could be fired to assist the Rayburn. The downside is that should we use the oil boiler only it will heat the Rayburn circuit too. It would be dangerous to fit valves to the Rayburn side incase of failure as a fire can't be 'switched off' instantly.
A Dunsley Neutraliser would be good to a certain extent, but we were adapting an exiting heating system and it would have been way more costly to use. Would possibly consider it for a new build. They also need a fair amount of knowledge to plumb correctly - as they can also have issues, so would do more research first.
A friend is trying something similar and is experimenting with valves so I'll try and update when I can.
I'll post a picture if I can work out how!Money can't buy you happiness, but it does bring you a more pleasant form of misery.

Hi....If anyone is looking for injector tee's then there is a site on ebay i found weeks ago that may help people. I think that you can also get them from Aga....hope that helps:T0

I got instructions how to make one via a chap on Ebay who fits Rayburns, but it turned out the genuine Rayburn one (Aga and Rayburn are same company) was much better, although much pricier, than a homemade one - think it was about £30 ish! It's critical to get the thing right or the water will not circulate correctly.Money can't buy you happiness, but it does bring you a more pleasant form of misery.
