the OR knows the rules 100 times better than money wellness, trust in what the OR says
all you need to say is I've had a lump sum of under £2000 paid into my wages, obviously as it's under £200O It will not affect my dro, but I will inform the OR anyway
that should be the end of the conversation and matter with money wellness
this £500 rule they invented is madness imo

to summarise here is info from website debt camel which is run by a citizens advice bureau employee I believe
they say what is a lump sum and as long as it's below £2000 you're ok.
they don't give wages as an example but do give benefits, which is the closest thing I can find .
I did learn on another website that if backdated benefits were paid out in dribs and draps over many many months then that's classed as income not lump sum and the person would have to check it doesn't put them over £75 a month. each month
and as for your new hourly rate being balanced out by your less hours, then it's up to you to give the OR the figures to show you are still within the £75 max a month
money wellness staff are poorly qualified and trained imo as they only recently got the dro contract.from stepchange

basically you want to tell the OR dear sir I have had a backdated lump sum of £400, this was for a previous ongoing wage deal negotiation and paid out in one go recently
and my current income and expenses have changed recently but still resulting in myself not being over the £75 limit, this was due to a new higher hourly rate , but less hours working at same time going forward
I enclose a budget to prove I'm not above the £75 limit.
( you can ask MW to create a new budget sheet for you to prove this which you can send, attach to your OR communication or letter to the OR. or just create your own budget sheet to prove this.)

Hi OP, did explain in my PM that you are allowed assets up to 2k, so don`t worry about it.
You don`t need to tell anyone, anything, just let things continue, and carry on as normal.

I couldn't fathom where MW got this £500 rule from. was under the impression they were guessing and making up rules as they went along.
