Back.
Got the appointment sorted with the Registar yesterday. Lovely lady who talked me all through it . Was a 'dog' lady so we had a lot in common, and ended up showing each other pictures of our 'pets'.
Spoke with celebrant who is coming to the house today - another 'dog' person, and she let slip she had a horse too, which i didn't know from her bio. It sounds like she has been a good choice and is aligned with our sort of lifestyle, ie hard work, pain and skint tempered with the beauty, and sometimes dubious pleasure of having animals . Even Showman has shown a softer side in recent days.
Spent yesterday afternoon downloading and completing various forms not covered by the one stop service. Land registry was a fun one. A simple enough form but I couldn't find the Asset Number for our home, so had to create an account to get the relevant number. All sorted now.
Spent the evening trying to pick music.. very emotional and I'm not much further forward. See what the celebrant thinks later.
Lots to do, so hugs and spoons as always.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Mehefin, seems like you have lots to keep you busy but glad everything is falling into place.
Absolutely pouring down here - just the start to a new term we need! Looking forward to seeing all the children in their new school uniforms even if they will be a bit soggy.
Lots done when I got home yesterday - picked peas, beans and courgettes (they seem to be happier without the broad beans next to them) and got the peas and beans in the freezer although I did keep some out for my dinner. Grass cut and some dead heading done. Washing was all dried, I even did a small load when I got home and that dried in the lovely sunshine and stiff breeze.
Hugs to you Nanny.
Great news dp1, glad everyone is on the mend.
Well done on saying no Izzy!
Hurray to your gutters and fascias TA, hope your gardener appears soon.
Must get going - it's going to be a busy day! Take care. XX

Woke up for a comfort break at 4.30am and couldn't get back to sleep so have watered the garden and hung some washing out already, it's going to be a long day.Nothing else exciting planned for today except the never ending housework!Hope everyone has a good day x12

Morning folks and thanks MEHEFIN. Sounds like you are on track at last now. There's such a lot to sort out and organise after a death. Just at a time when you don't need it.
Another day of no plans here. It's been a bit of a boring week. DS and DP are away on holiday and DD and girls are at the caravan so it feels strange with none of them popping in and out. For a bit of excitement I might make an early start of the Friday Tidy. Apparently light rain is forecast so no outside pottering will get done. I did a bit yesterday but sitting out reading was more appealing!
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for all in need. NAN you are going through the mill just now. I hope life soon gets a bit easier. Take care all and stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Morning all
well done Mehefin - you’ve achieved lots yesterday.Hope everyone else is ok.I had a much needed ‘day off’ yesterday and spent all day in mid Wales with some very good friends - beautiful 9+ mile walk and barely saw anyone else. Slightly achey legs today but worth it. Bdog had a blast too and doesn’t have limpy legs which is a bonus too.Back to it today - dog groomers this morning and will take DM and DD to a local countryside area with cafe while we wait. The DDad’s MRI and X-rays this afternoon.AA13 -
Morning all from a very damp and dark Gers Towers. Yesterday was glorious until the rain started in the late evening. It's just miserable.I did lots of little chores yesterday such as finally sorting out the two bags for the CS, tying them closed and in the car. After two weeks of dithering I decided to return a pair of shoes so took the parcel to the weird wee 'outreach' Post Office which is a woman sitting in an almost empty shop with only a printer and cash machine. Seems that it's staff from a further away PO providing services to a rural location. I walked past the place three times! Anyway, it's gone and, along with the CS stuff, has made room on the sofa for my suitcase.Today is fluid (again).8

Morning,
It seems I missed posting yesterday, even though I was up early.
Sunlight is peeping through the trees at the back, although our sitting room still seems dark, I will be popping out into the garden later today as the weeds are taking over.
A day of hanging around as waiting for a call from the council about the local cemetery and arranging a plot for dad. Left two messages but no call back as yet. Then I need to call my pension provider, so more hanging on. I hate using the phone at the best of times, so keep putting it off.
Apart from this, not much else planned. I need to get my head in gear and have a plan, rather than drifting as I have been doing for too long.
Thinking of all,
Take care.
