Permanent suspension from ebay

Hi folks, 
Anyone else here get an email from ebay regarding permanent suspension? It is legit I checked in ebay messages. 

I never bought or sold anything on ebay since setting up the account earlier this year, but apparently I have violated the rules and put the community at risk??? How is that possible when I have never used the account?

I managed to email them, but they wouldn't even tell me the reason why and just kept fobbing me off with the same 

Any further advice/help appreciated

Hi, no never. All seems rather odd to be honest, how can you actually get banned when you haven't even used the account

I wonder if this has anything to do with this if eBay has some massive issues with their bots

Although it might be an issue with a linked account, perhaps a family member or a mistake with a similar name or details.

another possibility is that somebody has opened an account using your details and has access to your email

not sure if you're able to but if you are then maybe worth requesting a copy of what they hold on you under gdpr or whatever
