Thanks for the replies and sorry for the long silence. Enterprise have said that this is they they handle all parking charges, so there are probably a large number of victims, and they're not budging on this. If I take this to court, would it be to the small claims court to recover what they've taken? I don't think this practice should be allowed to happen, and there are potentially a large number of victims of this practice, so how could I make a larger case to stop the practice and gain compensation for other victims?
1. You get a chargeback on your card that was used to take the payment and you let them dispute it all the way to court if necessary. That, or 2. sue them yourself for the money.
They are 100% in the wrong and it would be like taking sweets from a baby they were stupid enough to let this go all the way to court.
Option 1 is the easiest.
if they won't budge, then option as above, court /lba should only be an absolute last resort
